Sam Farr Town Hall on Tucson Shooting Tomorrow Night To Discuss Constituent
Concerns
Please attend this meeting and tell Mr.Farr that, as with 9/11, the people
of The United States of America, a country of 300+ million people, do not
want further restrictions on civil liberties, attacks on the constitution,
free speech, and our freedoms, simply because one lone nutcase (who was on
drugs, is a paranoid schizo, but not affiliated with the mainstream patriot
or tea party movement - as the mainstream media has tried to claim) decides
to do something stupid! The entire country should not suffer, and have our
way of life changed, because of the actions of one person.
Whether or not this animal was set up by the Government to commit this act
may or may not be true, but what we can say for sure right now is, as will
many other tragedies, the Government and mainstream media are using the
tragedy, politicizing it, & putting a spin on it in a way that furthers
their agenda and benefits the powers that be. Just Google "problem,
reaction, solution".
Research the alternative news coverage of this story and don't just rely on
mainstream news programming before you come to your own conclusion!

*Washington**, DC** –* Congressman Sam Farr (D-Carmel) will host a town hall
meeting to remember those killed and injured during the Tucson, Arizona
shooting involving Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, and to discuss
constituent concerns in the aftermath of the tragic incident. The American
Unity Town Hall will take place on *Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 6:00 -
7:00 PM at the* *First Congregational Church, 900 High Street, Santa Cruz,
CA 95060.*
The American Unity Town Hall will provide constituents with a forum to
express their condolences and concerns about the weekend tragedy, as well as
serve as an opportunity to remember and honor, UC Santa Cruz graduate,
Gabriel Zimmerman and the other victims of the shooting.
As an act of solidarity for Congresswoman Giffords and her staff, the
meeting will also work to reinforce the democratic foundation of access to
government and the right to come together in a peaceful and safe
environment.
“This terrible act of senseless violence is a national tragedy that has
reached people across our country,” said Congressman Farr. “This violent act
has unsettled our society’s foundation, and threatens to undermine the way
elected officials interact with their constituents. During times like these,
we are reminded of the importance of not only safeguarding against violent
incidents from occurring, but also to protecting the vital line of
communications between citizens and its government.”
